What it does
Your links go down. Nobody has to notice.
Multiple internet lines are only useful until one of them dies and you find out the hard way. wansinn watches every WAN link, catches a dead line quickly but not twitchily — one dropped ping won't trigger a failover — and switches your devices over before anyone downstream notices. When the line comes back, it hands control back on its own. No cloud account required, no telemetry leaving your network: it runs on your own hardware and talks to your routers directly over SSH.
The core doesn't know or care which router brand you run — every vendor gets its own add-on behind a small, fixed interface. MikroTik RouterOS and GL.iNet/OpenWrt both run fully today; further backends can be added later without touching the core. Notices trouble before you do
Each WAN is health-checked over its own route, so a Vodafone test can't accidentally succeed over Telekom. A line only counts as down after a few checks fail in a row.
Fails over, then fails back
Tell it what a device should do when a line drops — and what it should do once that line is back. wansinn applies both automatically, no manual reconnect.
Finds new devices on its own
New devices on the network surface as suggestions automatically. Nothing gets managed until you say so.
WANSINN Medic
A read-only check that compares what wansinn thinks is configured against what's actually on the router, and flags it when the two have drifted apart. Never changes anything.
Updates itself, keeps an exit
Upload a new version through the browser. The previous install stays untouched as an automatic rollback if something's wrong.

Quickstart
Install dependencies
sudo apt-get install -y python3 openssh-client iproute2 iputils-ping
First-run wizard
The wizard runs in your browser and asks for four things: which router add-on, the router's IP, an SSH username, and a one-time SSH password. Type those in once — wansinn generates its own key pair, hands the router a proper key, and never touches that password again.
Migrating data
With WANSINN stopped, copy instance/wansinn.sqlite from your previous install into the new instance/ folder before starting the new version.
